Thank you for your interest in applying for a mini-grant from the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund. The mission of the LDAMF is to promote dynamic and innovative educational programs in three areas: Effective Teen Relationships & Violence Prevention, the Arts, and Community Service. We welcome applications from individuals and organizations for initiatives aiming to make a measurable, meaningful difference in any of these three areas, but we place particular value on projects that will focus on or connect in some way with the most urgent of them, promoting healthy teen relationships and preventing violence.
LDAMF mini-grants support a great range of projects from around the country, but a degree of preference will be given to first-time proposals, to projects working in Massachusetts, and to initiatives with potential to showcase innovative and best practices in the field. While the LDAMF often joins with other donors and supporting organizations, we particularly encourage applicants whose projects do not rely on significant, long-established funding sources.
Mini-grant requests must not exceed $2,000, and the application deadline is January 31, 2025. Decisions will be announced by February 15, 2025.
